Battle of bands is a contest in which two or more bands
compete for the title of “the best band”. The winner is determined by panel of judges,
the general response of the audience or a combination. On this basis the event
was organized in SMIT on the note of The KAALRAV 2K14.
Day 1
It was the beginning of the evening, the energy of the crowd
of the people participating started fading as they have been participating
since the morning. To resolve and bring an end to this problem battle of band
was organized to bring that enthusiasm and energy back to each and every one.
The first band was “Strings of Randomness “the band formed
by the I year students of the SMIT.
Eiilm University they played the songs of Metallica and avenge
sevenfold, those awesome beats could be heard loud and clearly over and around
the campus. The third performance was by “Resonance” the band originated from
Sikkim Manipal University they played the tracks of rock and roll, satarea
sublime and bring the pressure, the band was unique and one and only of their
kind with their amazing performance. The fourth band was “The Kastadyne”, the
last year winners with their bold voice and heavy metal ruled the hearts of the
audience, the main tracks played by them were the subtle art of murder &
persuation, walk with me hell and cowboys from hell. The fifth
band was “Direct
threat” from Namchi College with their lead singer Rohan Gurung they payed in
your face, My Domination and Dig. The last among them were “Suspended
Animation” with lead singer Smyrna they played the beats of Are you gonna be my
Girl love rock and roll and thunderstruck.
