INTERVIEW OF ROHIT KARWA (VP, Student Council)

Q. What are your thoughts about SMIT?
A. I think that SMIT has many things to give. Good and Bad. Its upto you to choose what you take from here, the good or the bad.
Q. As the VP of the Student Council, can you tell us about
some of the new implementations that have been passed and some plans you have
for the future?
A. We have already started the Movie Club and we have a
movie evening every Saturday. Right now, it is just four plank boards and a
projector. We plan to have a new movie hall that will have many facilities in
the coming time. We also plan to have a centralized RO water purifiers for all
the hostels.
Q. What is your role as the VP?
A. I am basically a bridge between the students and the
administration. My job is to communicate the problems of the students to the
concerned authority. In the last council meeting, all 16 points were rejected.
That was really disappointing.
