Being a
teenager is no easy task. You go through a number of changes and a lot of
pressure coupled with responsibility kicks in. With raging hormones in our
bodies and young blood flowing through our veins, a teenager can be a walking
recipe for disaster.
If there is
anything more challenging than being a teenager, its being a teenager in
college. The transition from high school to college is a big one. All of a
sudden, you’re free to make your own decisions and choose whatever path you
want. In high school, we had our parents and guardians to guide and monitor us.
However, in college, those factors are removed. We move away from our families
but we find a new family amidst our friends. Staying together for four years forges
a bond that otherwise wouldn’t have been possible.
Friends help
us get through hard times and sometimes, we may even find refuge in someone
special. Someone who can help you find peace in times of extreme distress. It
is impossible to get through college without having people you can count on for
help. College can get hectic and tough at times. You face some good days and
some bad ones. That’s just how it is; you have to find the things that you love
and pursue them.
