The day was expected to start on a pleasant note with a bright sunshine, but all went haywire due to ill-timed rain, but as it is said that every cloud has a silver lining. The students of the mechanical department pitched in with all their might to get the show up and running. They put in a lot of hard work and dedication mixed with their enthusiasm for the respect and prestige of their department and were ready to do anything to make their fest a grand success in the backdrop of the calamity.

They shifted the main stage from the Amphitheatre to the E Quad within a record-breaking 57 minutes. The area was cleaned and cleared to set up the stage.

The fest started on an auspicious note with a welcome speech by the Director. Many events like solo singing and group dance performance by 2ndand 3rd year were very enthralling. The astounding performance by Saroj Kharel was so mesmerizing for the judges and the audience present that the results of the Fashion Show got neglected. The 1st position for Solo singing event was tied between Manisha Aggarwal (3rd year) and Nikhil Pradhan (2nd year). There was also a band performance by the ‘The Sixth Semester’. The most awaited event of the fest, the declaration of Mr. Crank and Miss Spark were given to Bodhaditya Ganguly and Kurmishtha Bharali respectively. The fest ended on a high note as the audience could be seen screaming to the swaying tunes of the band which eventually ended the fest.

So, this proved that the students of Mechanical Department were
unstoppable even in the face of a natural calamity.
